Timberline Boys Lacrosse Middle School Coaches

A Class of 2025 Timberline graduate and 2× Idaho State Champion, Coach Gus Knutson represents everything it means to be a Timberline Wolf. During his playing career, Gus earned the Heart of the Wolf Award, a reflection of his leadership, toughness, and commitment to doing things the right way every day. 

Now stepping into the role of Middle School Head Coach, Gus is focused on building strong fundamentals, accountability, and culture at the foundational level of our program. He is currently studying Service Technology at the College of Western Idaho and is excited to give back to the program that helped shape him.

Coach Sam Boson is a Class of 2025 Timberline graduate, 2× Idaho State Champion, and recipient of the Blue Collar Award, honoring his relentless effort and team-first mindset. 

Sam continues to play lacrosse at Boise State while studying Geoscience, bringing a competitive edge and high-level perspective to our middle school program. As an Assistant Coach, Sam is passionate about teaching habits, discipline, and work ethic, helping young athletes understand what it takes to compete and represent Timberline the right way.
